I mean it's not that definite lol. but for some reason I have good feelings.
Shelby Miller is a very nice SP, and I'd love to see the Cubs add him, but giving up Pollock for a SP, the day after you sign Greinke would scream of incompetence

Shelby for Soler is also on the table.

Yeah I've heard a lot about that. Idk how I feel about that, depends on if there is a follow up move. I would be very happy if the Cubs traded Soler for Miller, and then signed either Heyward or Alex Gordon. Both of those guys would be nice upgrades defensively and both hit for contact at a much higher rate than Soler. However Soler's contract is incredibly team friendly, and thus allows for higher spending in other areas.

The Braves would jump on a Shelby Miller trade if they received the right controllable position player. To date, Atlanta has focused on particularly high value targets like Joc Pederson, A.J. Pollock, and Jorge Soler. As you might guess, few if any teams are eager to trade established, high quality young hitters for pitching. The Braves have shown no sign of backing down on their asking price.

Salty takes a minimal deal from Detroit but is still making $8 million from the Marlins this year.

Wouldn't be the first time that has happened between Braves/Diamondbacks.
Well they didn't get Pollock but it sounds like this just happened again

Interesting. The Nationals are still too "right-handed", but Phillips has a very good relationship with Dusty and can really help some of the young guys in the Nats' lockerroom. He would be able to mentor Trea Turner for a year or so and then move on.
