Much has been made about the possibility of the Seattle Seahawks moving on from Marshawn Lynch at the end of the 2014 season, but the running back also has the option of taking the decision into his own hands.

With the opportunity to walk away on his own terms, Lynch is weighing the possibility of retiring at the end of the year, according to the NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

The move would come as a surprise given the elite level the 28-year-old has continued to play at of late, but Lynch has talked about retirement before.

One other possibility for the veteran running back, as Rapoport indicated, could depend on the future of current Seahawks offensive line coach/assistant head coach Tom Cable. Should Cable land a head-coaching job elsewhere next season, Lynch could follow.

A lot can change in a short period of time, but it looks as though all options are on the table for both Lynch and the Seahawks heading into what is certain to be an interesting offseason.

Tom Cable should have never been fired by the Raiders.  Some team really needs to give him another shot.
