I understand what you're saying. We aren't getting a TON better, but the cap was a big part of making this deal. As for the system player, that could be true....but only time will tell right now.

He is, he wetn from getting 20 13 2 and 2 in PHX to getting like 12 and 8 in Miami..
He won't do that much better in TOR

Looking at the deal on NBA TV right now, Raptors give up like 6 ppg and 4 rpg.
Banks won't even play for you guys, and you lose lots of depth imo.

he had gotten injured a lot already
we really needed help at SF, bargnani and bosh can split minutes at Centre

Only reason I see Ronto doing this is b/c of marions salary letting him expire will let them get someone or more in the off season thus convincing bosh to resign in 2010

Yea, It's smart depending on who they sign, They can surround bosh with more talent as an enticement to stay.

This trade made the Heat slightly better, but for the future it made Toronto better.
