Game 6 of the '98 Finals. Jordan missed 20 shots, only had 1 rebound, and 1 assist.

In a decade no one's going to remember Kobe's bad game just like no one remembers Jordan's. All anyone's going to remember is that these guys won. That's why winning is so important in this sport because it's all anyone really remembers.
I was on another board and they were talking about MJ's 5-19 game against the sonics. Nobody really remembers those. Its about winning.

Why is everyone ripping on Marcus? He was defending his father, we all would of done the same. I'm sure Marcus knows he isn't a great player, but he still has the right to defend his father. And he is correct.

I think what bothers me is that it seems as if hes talking like kobe is trash and screwing the game up on purpose. Then when this tweet started to get noticed he softened his stance. He doesnt have to do that. Jordans rings, legacy, stats does all the speaking when it comes to a comparison.

Then you got jeff talking crap like the stuff below.
Lmao @kobe hahahahaha anyone really that shocked that he jumped on the table and held up 5? #original
On my way to this workout... Probly not gonna watch tapes of anyone cuz unlike some others #noneed to be like mike lol
Maybe he's holding up 5 fingers because he just won his 5th title and hes in the moment.Stuff like that is what makes me mad. You dont have to <Censored> on kobe to big up your dad. Kobes already admitted mike is the best.

Still never had to go to a game 7, and in 6 finals victories, he has 6 finals MVPs.. Kobe has 2 out of 5.. The comparison is not even close.

lol I swear I've already gone at this before many times on this board, not going to bother again. It's just way too long of an argument. I'm not even saying that Kobe is better than Jordan, I don't even think that, but not even close? That's what I disagree with. From the get-go Jordan was always the man on his team, his teams were always built around him, he never had to play next to one of the most dominant big men ever in Shaq. In contrast the Laker teams in the early 2000s were built around Shaq, not Kobe. Kobe won't get 6 Finals MVPs, but when he's the man he's collecting the merchandise. Also, the talent & competition in the 2000s and the new era > the 90s. It was already established some years ago that among experts the consensus is that if Jordan's first three-peat Bulls were to play in today's game, they would win one 'chip at most. Numbers are a fallacy when comparing different eras IMO, you can't just go off numbers in completely different eras, you have to look at everything.

And Meh, you know I could go on and on, but I'm not going to. Like I said, way too big of a debacle with this one.

Jordan > Bryant, I'm all good & agree with that, but Kobe's the next best thing IMO, and will be for a long while until the next best SG comes around in the next 10 years, or if Wade starts winning more 'Chips, or if Lebron starts winning them.

Well, then that ends it.. Kobe wasn't even the best player on championship teams.. Then you talk about competition.. What kind of competition do you have when you do have the most dominant big man in the history of the game? And there isn't much competition right now anyway.. The West is filled with a bunch of good teams and one great team. Lakers have been a shoe in for the finals the last 3 years. Lost to the great Celtics team, beat a gimmick offensive team in Orlando, it was a good win but LA had every match up in their favor.. Competition isn't that good right now.

Well, when I said competition in today's game I really meant the early 2000 to mid-2000s, but whatever. The league is kind of dying right now, but I'm not going to get into this even though I kinda opened it up. lol

Let's leave it alone.

Why does his (Marcus Jordan) opinion about this matter?
