Manuel to miss rest of Preseason

Buffalo Bills QB E.J. Manuel will miss the rest of the preseason after swelling was discovered in his left knee on Saturday morning.
Manuel, whom Buffalo selected with the No. 16 pick in the first-round this year, will undergo minor knee surgery and have his status re-evaluated prior to the start of the regular season.

My guess is Marrone will give Kolb the nod week 1 and he's going to say something like, "EJ has missed too much time and needs to get back into game condition". THEN, Kolb get's absolutely manhandled by the Pats, but we all expected that right? So he gets a free pass. So even better, Kolb gets the nod against Carolina in week 2 ... what happens? We lose by 21 in a 24-3 shellacking after Kolb puts no points on the board. Defense played good though, we just got fatigued after being on the field 75% of the game.
 
Week 3, EJ gets the start against the Jets, throws for 225 and 3 TD's and we get the win. Bills go 14-2.

I think EJ should start, without question, but Kolb is more than capable in a hurry up offense with all weapons at his disposal. He thrived at the end of halves for Arizona last year because they'd have to go to the no huddle. He's not a huddle everybody up, use every second of the game clock quarterback, and he'll never be, but when the game speeds up and he just has to make decisions on the go, he's actually pretty decent. Let him have Stevie and Chandler at his disposal in week one, while also handing it off to Spiller and Jackson, and he might be decent enough to keep them in the game. Either way, Marrone needs to have the balls to start Manuel, or Bills fans should riot, imo.
