It's crazy because if you go back and look at his scouting reports he was a scoring prodigy. And at only 19 years old he had the ability to become a force on both ends of the floor. It's fascinating how bad he ended up being really

Bennett wasn't supposed to be #1 and even then it was known it was a weak draft

as weak as the draft was, he still shouldnt have went #1

He wasn't "suppose" to go #1, but he had a lot of supporters. He was really good at UNLV, and it was not a stretch to consider him the best scorer in the draft (or the scorer with the most potential). Regardless, anyone could have gone #1 that year, because the draft was not top heavy. I saw different rationales for the Cavs to take Oladipo, Porter, Len, Noel, McLemore, and Bennett. There was very little separating any of them. Argument can be made that the top 4 or 5 players from that draft all went after pick #9.  
 
But yes, he was a terrible bust.

Difference is Olynyk is three years older than both, unable to play against anyone athletic, and has a much lower ceiling

Olynyk is pretty bad... Len still has potential and has been getting better every year. Adams is proving his worth in this postseason and has been exceptional for the Thunder.
