Jeremy Lin spoke candidly about his first season with the Houston Rockets, though it included 20,000 people at a youth conference in Tapei.

I was ready to invigorate the entire city of Houston," said Lin. "I was supposed to save Houston basketball.

Lin was signed by the Rockets last offseason after becoming a productive scoring guard with the New York Knicks.

I became so obsessed with becoming a great basketball player trying to be Linsanity, being this phenomenon that took the NBA by storm, Lin told the audience. The coaches were losing faith in me, basketball fans were making fun of me.

Lin has found peace as he enters his second season with the Rockets as he pushed further down their pecking order behind James Harden, Dwight Howard and Chandler Parsons while battling Patrick Beverley for playing time at point guard.

We are Gods beloved children, and there is nothing you can do to reduce Gods love for you, he said. When you do, youll be free.

I actually laughed at him when he was in New York but mostly because I was jealous he grabbed the papers when the Rangers were hot in New York for that time.

I kind of feel bad for him now.

He's just a midget asian playing with mostly tall black dudes.

I don't really understand how this will make him any better. He's still an inconsistent offensive player who plays absolutely no defense and can't take care of the ball. For a defensive minded starting lineup, it makes sense to start Beverly ahead of him. Fuck Jeremy Lin. How he even had a breakout stretch is beyond me. He's less than thrilling to watch.

He wasnt anything special to begin with... I never liked his game... Raymond Felton signing saved the Knicks from an atrocious season honestly... Lin is a barely above average point guard... Id take him off the bench but not a started

I remember how many people thought so highly of him in New York. Some people bought in.

I truly don't believe winning has been Houston's #1 priority. They want to be in the spotlight, make money.

Oh they do, but people are greedy when it concerns money.
