i suggest you use the uploader at the top. Then the one in the post editor. It make it easier to see.

Get rid of the white BG.

Then go to Image>Trim

Save it to PNG instead of JPG

Saved as PNG.

There is not trim in gimp...and if its still there, how do i remove the white bg?

Use magic eraser tool. If that doesn't work, just re-cut it.
