he calls himself the king
he betrayed his city.

look, everyone needs help. Cleveland tried their tails off. they had the best record in the league two years in a row
he had talent on that team. his fault they lost

instead of standing up and saying, lets go do it again. lets win it for you guys
you know how many times he mentioned cleveland's tough history?

but he couldnt. he took the easy way out. Superstars dont do that.
not in their primes
He left to win championships. I don't see any problem with what he did at all.

Imagined if you married to a chick for 7 years and you've given her all she could ever ask for and you've provided her with everything she needs. And everything is going fine because you've known each other all your lives and it feels like nothing could tear you apart. Then she decides to divorce you because she thinks another guys "looks" better.

I imagine thats how Cleveland feels

I used to think, geez, what a curse playing for your home town.
if you leave, its a betrayal. players leave their hometown teams all the time.

but this is different. this Cavs team could be good. This is a team that had the best record 2 years in a row.
they werent a lottery team.
if he's as great as he says, and calls him self King, and keeps saying how he's one of the greats, then stay and go get it done.

but he didnt

I imagine that is how they feel. But this logic doesn't apply, and if I tried to make it apply it would sound extremely odd lol. I could also flip this and make it sound pro-LeBron, so..

What else could he of possibly done? Dude tried his damn hardest to get that team a title. Like back when they made the title, literally had the squad on his shoulders. What he had around him obviously wasn't enough to win the title.

Like me and AE have been saying, why exactly is he entitled to stay with Cleveland. Like seriously, was it a clause in his contract that stated that he had to resign there cause the damn kid was born there. No. So he didn't betray anything. Would it of been more heartwarming if he went back there, sure? But he was entitled to do anything.
Going to Miami does give him the best chance to win, but I'm not debating this again with you cause you are just bitter he went to Miami for whatever reason.
LeBron shouldn't care what others think, let his on court actions shut up the haters, and they will. Just wait is all I'm saying, and stop <Censored>ing ripping on him.
Why is he entitled to stay in cleveland? Uhh because this guy has been going on about how he's gonna bring a title to Cleveland and that he doesnt want to be a ring chaser. You tell me how those 3 players and <Censored>ing Mario chalmers is a better situation to play in than in Chi-town with 2 all star players and a borderline all star big type and a 17/7 wing. Why cant I rip on him. This is a forum where we are allowed to speak our opinions on a subject. So because I dont agree with you I cant speak on this. And yes he did betray Cleveland. They've loved/ and gathered their whole state around this guy since he was a 8th grader. What's the heartwarming thing in a 25 year old settling to be somebody's robin to win instead of winning on his own terms.

Everything you said I answered last night.
I'm sick of debating LeBron. You can re-read literally everything I said to get my response, cause this is pointless.

Did it ever occur to you it might be because he lost his passion to play in Cleveland?

It's how he's getting his championships (if he does get any).

This is a wussy ass move that almost all legends of the game are disrespecting right now. This is exactly what we're talking about. Where's the competitiveness? Everyone knows a player needs help, but c'mon now. Can't beat a Wade/Bosh duo so he joins them? This is bad for his legacy and the league. This is exactly why this game is <Censored>ing dying because of bull<Censored> like this. It's not because they're all friends and went ring chasing. It's not just about the rings, it's about the competitiveness, the reason why we watch spots. We want to watch mother<Censored>ers tear eachothers heads off. I'm not just a Lakers fan, I love the game of basketball, I'm one of those guys where it's more than just a game and this just kills it.

I want to see the best of the best go at each other, not play with each other, this aint the Olympics. This is not why we watch basketball, this is not why we watch sports. I don't want to see "that was a good shot, man" after some dude knocks a J' right in your face. There's a reason why the Lakers/Celtics finals we just had, had some of the highest ratings of any playoff series int he past decade. Because they're not friends, they wanted to kill each other, and that's what we got. I want to see good <Censored> happening where dudes rip each others heads off, not this lets form a super-team just so we could win rings. You know how criticized this team would be even if they got rings? Kobe gets flak for winning his first three with Shaq, even Jordan gets some for having Pippen all of those years. To make matters worse, this isn't even a GMs job. These guys planned this <Censored>. It's almost like Pro-wrestling where the GMs and all offices are getting disrespected because now all these egomaniacs are taking control.

It doesn't matter how many rings Lebron wins now because of how he's getting them. He could win 10 of them with Wade and Bosh, he's going to face nothing but criticism from here on out and there's not a damned thing he can do about it now. Robert Horry has seven, but he was never the man, no one cares that he has 7, he's just a role player. Not saying that Lebron's Robert Horry now, but that's all he is now, just one of three-players on a super-team that they themselves formed because they couldn't hack it by themselves and didn't want to play each other. Water down the competition just to get what you want?

This is not what legends are made of. Lebron just killed his own legacy.

I understand what you are saying with literally everything you just said, and you make valid points. I understand why people are ripping on LeBron. But like every argument there are 2 sides, and I just see the other side more than this one.

And I figured someone wouldn't bring up the last playoff series of his career in Cleveland. Next time I'll make sure I mention something bout him losing passion in that series, sorry.

I accept your apology. Just saying you can't let him slide for what he did.

I wouldnt <Censored> on my hometown on national tv. Personally if I was lebron...im not but if i was him it'd be between cleveland and chicago.Loyalty would probably win out for me. Id sign a 2 year deal with a player option for a third. If we didnt win then...then i'd be out.
