I said not all, of course some was from him. But all players do it.

And the hat thing was blown out of proportion lol.
Thats what I'm saying LeBron does some things purposely when he KNOWS they will be blown out of his proportion.

Dude I clearly just named a number of things that have happened in the past 3 years that show LeBron's "overhyping" and thrist for the spot light.
And like I said none of those things compare to the negative things that Kobe has done to get him into the spotlight.

I'll take the petty thing LeBron has done over what Kobe has done by a mile.

But the only thing that really was blown into LeBron style proportion was the sex scandal and Kobe didn't even purposely want that. LeBron's been gettin hype since the hummer and jerseys in HS.

can we just talk about how LeBron and Wade can never win an MVP now

and that if Kobe's first 3 were tarnished, then LeBron is coming out of Miami winless regardless...

It is a historic event, but seriously? Half an hour event, sure, but a whole hour, for what?
And any pro athlete being a complete angel off the court is bs. We just don't hear about a lot of cases. Lots of <Censored> happens that no one hears about, I'm working in a LAPD office right now. So many scandalous cases comes through that no one hears about because of the lengths people go through to keep it under wraps. You only really find anything out if the media really really digs for it, and no one's really going to dig at Lebron because he's the "King" and he probably has hookups up the wazoo to keep <Censored> quiet.
Infidelity for a pro athlete is almost inevitable. Having drop dead gorgeous women just offering themselves to you wherever they go? Someone's bound to get rape chargers on them every now and then because of greedy gold diggers.

Besides, we idolize these guys as athletes, not people. Regardless of all the showcasing done off the court about how they do all this charity work, etc. they still have personal lives and do <Censored> that none of us will ever hear about.

You act like LeBron's hype has been bad though lol.
Not shaking hands >>>>>>>>>>>> sex scandal.

So who gives a <Censored> if LeBron's NY hat is put in the spotlight and hyped up, either way it's 10259538x better than having a sex scandal on him all over ESPN.

I don't get why this is being debated.

I don't disagree with anything you just said. You hit it spot on.
I wouldn't debate the fact LeBron hasn't been an angel off the court, but he hasn't been caught doing anything (not saying he has secondarily done anything though) so he still is an "angel" in my books.

I honestly just don't care about the reputations anymore, reputations are just used to try and hate on someone if you nothing to say about the player's skills in their respective sport. I don't care especially as an LA fan. LA stars in every major sports always seems to do something wrong anyway LOL.

As long as they do their jobs on the court/field who gives a <Censored>. We watch to see them play, not whatever their personal lives are about. This ain't reality TV.

Bron on the Heat pisses me off

but I have a question, who's playing around them?
yes Wade/Bron/Bosh > Allen/Pierce/KG, but those C's do not win without Eddie House, PJ Brown, James Posey, Leon Powe, etc.

can the Heat get a surrounding cast that good?
are they seriously going to rely on 2nd round rookies?

Exactly. Everyone is just trying to pick their most plausible situation for LeBron, reporting it and trying to be known as the first to report it and get their name out. And if they get it wrong, they just say he changed his mind at the last minute..

Lebrons new nickname should be Drama King. This is the most selfish and egotistical act I have seen in a long time, for a star player to get a 1 hour special just to say what team he will be going to.

Man, Magic Larry MJ Shaq and Kobe didnt do these things. And they actually WON..... way too much hype for a guy who has never won anything.

Me, you and TYO could be on that team and they would still win the title..

I'm sure they can find a few vets who would take a paycut to play there, and have a pretty sure fire chance at title.

But they really don't need much at all.

As for Lebron being on the Heat. I don't buy it, but I don't see the problem about them being able to play with each other after the Olympics. Everyone played together beautifully. If winning an Olympic gold medal is bigger than anything else basketball related (like the players all claimed), then I don't see them not being able to play together for a NBA Championship.

Their support cast will be fine. I heard Quentin Richardson wants to stay so that's a solid shooter/defender off the bench. I also heard something about Haywood somehow going to the Heat, though I'm not too sure about that now since there's less money to be spent if all three of these guys are going to the Heat. They just need decent guys, nothing special.
