Cavs are gonna go from possibly getting Bledsoe and PG for Kyrie to getting Melo, way to go Dan Gilbert

And when it doesn't happen are you gonna quote yourself and admit you fell for an obviously dumb rumor?

Its not "way to go gilbert" its way to go lebron for not telling them that he will stay long term if they pulled that trade

Thinking the Cavs might trade Kyrie for Melo is like thinking they would trade Kyrie for LaMarcus Aldridge

Whatever makes lebron happy at this point

Gotta do everything to keep him, and bringing in his bestfriend is a good gamble

No, you said Griffin was fired for wanting to trade Kyrie, which is false. I said nothing about the rest of it

This is all irrelevant anyway, i likely won't even be able to watch the Cavs next season. I'm a Lakers fan now

Wonder who makes all the negotitations? Griffin or gilbert?

If they were gonna get bledsoe and PG, kyrie would of been in that deal

Griffin was ready to trade him

Kyrie is under contract for 3 more years, it doesn't matter what his "preferred destinations" are.
It kinda does. Kyrie potentially is playing this very smart, something Paul George and Jimmy Butler did not do.

Kyrie is under contract for two more seasons, and then has a player option that hell reject, entering FA. Im not saying by that hes leaving Cleveland, but he could technically leave after the 2018-19 year.

So what happens if after this upcoming season, after the Warriors win another title, that Lebron says hes gone. Pissed off at management for firing Griffin, and overall still hates Dan Gilbert, he goes back to Miami, or to LA, or freaking Utah for gods sake it doesnt matter.

You LITERALLY have the same situation then in one year that Indiana had with Paul George. Sure you can let Kyrie play in Cleveland; there is nothing he can do to prevent him playing in Cleveland in 2018-19 if the Cavs want to keep him. But you arent winning shit without Lebron, and Kyrie WILL leave after that year. So you have to trade him for value, but what do you get?

You get the equivalent of Victor Oladipo and Domantas Sabonis in return. No offense to Paulie, but that offer is shit. But the Pacers had little to no leverage, and thats the problem Cleveland runs into come one season from now.

The moment Lebron leaves, they lose 75% of the trade value on Kyrie. So if you think (or know) that Lebron is leaving after this year, the time is now to trade Irving.

"Couldnt agree on future" right ariund the time kyrie rumors to phx were around

It all adds up bnc. Griffin was willing to move kyrie for a win now situation and again, accoridng to sources gilbert asked lebron if he would stay long term if that deal got done and he didnt give a clear answer so gilbert didnt wanna move kyrie incase lebron left

You guys have always been pretty on the money when it comes to predicting players leaving the Cavs the last few years, so I'll take your word for it.

Wait, so how is Kyrie playing this smart? Why should he care what the Cavs get in return?

Right and you said Griffin was fired for wanting to move Kyrie, when Gilbert was willing to as well. So which was it?
