We learned over the weekend that Kyle Shanahan will be the new offensive coordinator for the Browns.

On Monday, theres some word about when the deal will be signed and how long it runs. Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports that Shanahan is expected to sign a three-year deal with the team on Tuesday.

Last years experience with Rob Chudzinski is a reminder that contracts dont always reach their conclusion, but Shanahan should be able to stick around for a while if he can run an offense quarterbacked by someone better than the guys the Browns ran out last season. They have the fourth pick in the draft to use for a quarterback if they choose and Brian Hoyer is expected to be ready for offseason work after his knee injury.

With Shanahan in place, the Browns have found their coordinators on both sides of the ball for Mike Pettines first staff. Jim ONeil will run the defense and former Titans offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains is reportedly set to become the teams quarterbacks coach.

I'm interested to see what he can do without daddy.

He can put together a unique gameplan, but he consistently abandoned the run game WAY too quickly.

You'll be sorry about saying this in the future haha

As far as his system goes and drafting a QB if that's the route they go, pretty well anyone of Bridgewater, Manziel or Carr would fit. If they miss out on those 3, I'd expect to see Garoppolo be the guy. If worse comes to worse, it'll be Fales. But with the ammo they have, I'm sure they'll get their #1 or #2 guy.

I posted it in another thread, but I'd rather roll the dice with Hoyer than trade a pick for Cousins. They're probably about the same talent wise, with Kirk having a bit of a stronger arm, but Hoyer has the uber quick release and sat and learned behind Brady

But I'm not high on either of those options anyway
