Keeping Fowler around really looks good to the Cubbies now. Hopefully we get Kawasaki back onto the 25-man roster.

Not a huge loss for us. Luckily we have so much depth with our position players. Schwarber isn't a Rizzo or bryant so we'll be ight.

Pretty arrogant thing to say for a team that hasn't won shit in over a century. Schwarber is a huge loss for the Cubs. If the guy wasn't so important, they Maddon wouldn't be looking for ways to keep him in the lineup every day. I would personally cringe at the concept of more Montero and Old Man Ross in the lineup this season, behind the dish.

Pretty selfish thing to say. Hypocrite much? Not saying it's gonna hurt us. Anyways, Schwarber wasn't gonna get any time really at catcher this year. If he was then they would've made that clear. They wanted him to develop fielding skills. Plus Contreras is our future catcher. Do some research. This team is stacked. Soler will fill in at LF, Bryant, etc. They will move forward and will win a WS within the next 3 years. It is what it is.

I've done enough research to know Schwarber was Jason Hammel's personal catcher. I also know Willson Contreras isn't MLB-ready, therefore he's no prevalent to this conversation. I would take Kyle Schwarber with one leg over Soler, Szcur, or a hobbled Victorino. They won't move Bryant off of 3B either.

Willson has nothing to do with this year. Montero will be gone in a year and we will have an interesting dilemma at C. Not sold on Schwarber just yet. Not a fan of his .240 avg. He has lots of potential though. I like Soler a lot although I can see him being dealt for pitching. Gonna be a fun and great year regardless. Kawabae got called up to it looks like.

I've suffered a similar injury, in a similar situation. Schwarber will be fine, but this year will be a lot harder work than it would have been.
The Cubs have a lot of outfield depth and they should be fine, but they will miss his bat in the lineup. They have a couple of kids at AAA that might get a shot after a month or so -- Almora and McKinney.

He looks more like a DH than an outfielder. Don't know much about him, but he doesn't look like he's built for the outfield. Could this be why he got injured? Not saying it is, just thinking it could be a possibility.

Fowler is the reason he is out for the year;)

Tough blow to the Cubs, I really enjoy the guy.

I hear Robert DeNiro's character from The Fan: "Centerfield makes the calls."
