Kobe Bryant has played with Hall of Famers and future Hall of Famers over his career in Shaquille O'Neal, Karl Malone and Gary Payton, as well as All-Stars like Pau Gasol and Andrew Bynum, but he believes the 12-13 Los Angeles Lakers are the most talented team of his tenure.

"On its face, it’s the best talent I’ve been around," Bryant said. "Whether that translates into winning a championship remains to be seen. But just on paper you’re talking Defensive Player of the Years, MVPs, All-Stars. You’re talking about a myriad of things. Guys who are at the top of their position at one point or another. It’s pretty dope."

There were over 300 media members at the Lakers' opening of camp, as Steve Nash and Dwight Howard participated in their first media day with their new team.

"It’s my team," Bryant said. "But I want to make sure that Dwight knows that when I retire this is going to be his. I want to teach him everything I possibly know so this organization can ride as if I never left."

Kobe, don't worry. The Lakers will always be good. Stern has and will make sure of it.

Why would Stern decide to help LA and LA only though? And it what ways is he helping?

It's still Kobe's team until he's no longer there. Although, I can understand where they would get that idea, because Orlando was Dwight's team. The Sun's were Nash's team.

It's funny, Stern and Kobe may leave the game in the same offseason.
