Finally...... this has taken forever. I am glad that we only gave them 1 year deals.

This is stupid, I was all for them trying to get some top tier FA's in 2010, but now I hope they fail.

This is not stupid. If we signed Lee and Nate to long term deals, we wouldnt be able to land a top tier FA in 2010.

I doubt you get a damn top FA lol, you don't have much to build around. Even with all the max money you got, you still need a better team..

It'd be funny as hell if they didn't get anything via FA next season.
They will probably end up settling for Carlos Boozer or someone of his caliber instead of a guy like LeBron or Wade.

Yea. If I was Wade, LeBron or Bosh, or any top FA, I'd be leaning towards NJ...

I think we will get a top FA. We are starting to get rid of these horrible contracts and our team isnt that horrible we've got some pieces to work with in Nate, Lee, Chandler, and Galinari will be in his rookie year. As well as Jordan Hill. Especially in the East where 7 games were the difference between the Knicks and 8th seed.

The team won't have Nate or Lee after this season.
Who would want to play with basically just Chander? Galinari and Hill aren't proven.
Whoever came to this team would have to carry the entire load really.

We arent just going to sign 1 player. We are going to have 53.5 million to use this upcoming FA. So that is more than enough room to get valuable players.

Yeah but your not going to get a complete homerun. You might get a few valuable guys though.

Our young talent is alot more promised then most, thats why how they play this season is so big.

Dub C is going to be a star, a Shawn Marion type player.

Gallo is yet to be seen

And Hill should do well in our offense since he can get up and down the floor.

As for Lee and Nate it was smarter to give them one year deals, then give Lee his 60mil contract, and have to run with the same exact team next year then at least TRY to bring a big name in.

If yall didnt realize, we still have bird rights on Nate and Lee, meaning we can give them the type of deals they want next year, or S&T them.

Smart move by Donnie.

Exactly why we shouldnt give them long term deals this offseason.

Regardless of how much it drops we'll be able to give them the contracts they want. Dolan doesnt care about paying for being over the CAP.

But if we gave them the deals this offseason, then that cuts into what we have to offer the big names.

I hope the Knicks fail too, but smart move signing them to only one year deals. Regardless if the cap drops, they still should be able to sign at least one big name player, or two, but I hope they don't.
