All I'm saying is that the Kings usually perform better than they look on paper. I never said anything about the Thunder or Durant, just that you'll be surprised.
No I won't. I guarantee the Kings win less than 35 games this year, thus leading to me not being surprised.

they need two more good drafts and a couple solid free agent pickups before i think theylll be on their way to a playoff spot.

TWO more good drafts and a COUPLE solid free agent pickups? Naw. We had two of the top rookies last season in Casspi and Evans and we easily got the two best players in the draft this year for where they were drafted. 15m in CAP next offseason. Carl Landry and Jason Thompson down low to pair with Whiteside and Cousins. Donte Greene still has tons of potential, he has been maturing a lot. We're getting there for sure, maybe not this year but I guarentee we'll be in the playoffs by next season.

Jason Thompson will be good for a double double a night either this season or next. If Damarcus can keep motivated that'll be f/cking solid down low. That means a decent pg signing then a finding a defensive swingman and the Kings could be in the playoffs.

PLUS Carl Landry. Who would've won the 6th MOTY award had he not been traded.

You're really overestimating the Kings. I'd come up with a strong rebuttal, but it's 2 against 1. Bottom line is, the Kings are far away from making the playoffs. They drafted two solid big men in the draft that are very raw and both have serious red flags, I wouldn't bank on anything from them yet. Neither Casspi nor Greene will ever be a quality NBA starter on a playoff team, both are just role players. Obviously a PG upgrade is needed too. They won't be in the playoffs for the next 3 years, the West is just too tough.
