Profootballtalk reports there have been no settlement talks in the Josh Gordon case.

It's been two-plus weeks since Gordon's appeal was heard, but the sides have yet to come to the bargaining table. They still could, but it would seem to grow less likely by the day. Absent a settlement, Gordon is looking at an all-or-nothing proposition (16 games if the ruling is upheld, zero if it's not). Reports from last week suggested the case should be settled before the end of this week.

I used to really like him, have fun watching him, and was on his side about his livelihood being taken away for smoking reefer.

After the events of this preseason, I'm not sure he's a guy I can get up and root for anymore.  The Browns have been running him as the #1 for some weird, unknown reason, but the only reason that could be presumed is so their quarterbacks could have more opportunities to have successful plays which can further evaluation.  Both QBs were awful, but Gordon was worse.  He's basically sailing through.  If there's a statistic for "player who doesn't give a shit in these pre-season games", Gordon is the league leader.
