Jose Reyes suspended through May 31st

Major league baseball has announced that Rockies shortstop Jose Reyes has been suspended without pay through May 31st under the league’s joint domestic violence, sexual assault, and child abuse policy. He’ll be credited for the time he’s already missed in calculating the suspension, though he’ll forego salary that had previously been available under his paid administrative leave.

In a perfect world he'll be traded...however there is no place for him with Story and DJ up the middle.

Rockies are probably the most incompetent team in baseball.  Landing this guy wasn't so bad of an idea if they traded him right away.  Now they're stuck with him, and they basically wasted a whole Tulo trade which was meant to rebuild an already poor roster that desperately needed to rebuild.

Believe it or not there's trade interest in Reyes. The Rockies may have to eat a little bit of what's left on his deal but I'm sure they'll take a cheap deal in order to wipe their hands clean of the situation. The Yankees didn't seem to mind Chapman's domestic situation when they traded for him and if the deal is right, they'd take Reyes on. The Angels are another team to consider. Simmons is on the shelf for at least 2 mos and Reyes coming aboard would allow keep from rushing Andrelton back onto the field.

Reyes should bring the Rockies some talent in return, but not what they could have gotten last off-season.

Reyes won't bring much without eating a lot. He's slowed down and is one of the worst fielding short stops in the game.

There was never much there besides two decent seasons.  Other than that, he's been highly overrated and only slightly good for many of his seasons.

Reyes is not "lighting it up" in AAA right now.  It will take him some time to be ready to come back to the bigs.

You guys shouldn't act as if moving Reyes was going to be easy. His decline is very real, as were his 2015 numbers, and his massive contract. The Rockies have tried to gauge interest but despite what Reyes' agent says, nobody wants him.
