We really need him to step up this season. Last season, especially in the Playoffs I saw him make some key plays and come up clutch in situations where we needed him to. That being said, I'm hoping he doesn't have to be involved in the special teams returns, but other than that what kind of season do you see him having in the receiving game for Rodgers?

Thoughts?

Nelson is going to be what he has always been. A #3/#4 WR that can get about 40 Rec for 500 Yards and a couple of TDs.. With Driver and Jennings on the outside and the Packers drafting Randal Cobb, Its going to hurt Nelsons reps.

I really see him having a breakout year... He looked great in the Playoffs last year other than a few drops. Driver is getting older and slowing down so I think the Packers will need someone to step up and I think Nelson can be that guy.

I thought he was in for a breakout season before the offseason started, but I didn't expect them to draft Cobb and re-sign Jones. I think he'll put up similar numbers to last season, possibly a little bit less in terms of receptions and yards.

I think he could emerge as a #2 receiver, as Driver takes a back seat to him.
No pun intended :p

Seeing him in the playoffs, I had the feeling he'd be in for a breakout year this year.

You also have to figure Finley (IF and that's a big if - he remains healthy) will get a lot of targets.

His numbers will be worse than last year...

Jermichael is back, plus they have Jennings, Driver, Jones and Cobb at receiver as well.

I'm not a big fan of Cobb personally, but I liked Nelson. He'll never be a true #1 WR, but he has a lot of talent, and I don't think Green Bay is the place he'll get to show that.
