You go from living in the cozy northwest with Russell Wilson running the offense to angry New York with Geno Smith running the offense. That's called a bad day.

So he got traded because he allegedly punched Golden Tate before the Super Bowl last year?

These tweets bother me:

About that Percy Harvin risk...Know for a fact that the WR room had issues, & must've reached a point that even Pete was unwilling to manage

Harvin was more difficult to deal with last year than anybody knows. He has real trust issues with people. No getting it back once lost.

It's the media's job to bridge the gap between teams and fans. That's literally their job. It's their job to tell us these things while they're happened, not after something comes to a head just to make themselves sound smart.

If you release things like that mid-season while the player is still on the team, no one from that team is going to talk to you or give you interviews for the foreseeable future.

I don't think it's that black and white. There should be a way to actually do your job. And even if the Seahawks would take such offense to a reporter actually reporting, it's all cool now because the player is traded?

Seattle got a ring out of that trade with the Vikings, but was it still even worth it for them?

I don't know what Floyd and Patterson have to do with the Harvin trade.  They got the 25th pick, which turned into Rhodes, and a 7th that year, plus a third in last years draft, which was McKinnon.

Did not mean to edit your post, my bad.

Trading Harvin opened up needs at WR. Patterson may not have been Seattle pick but the Harvin trade forced Speilman to go get Patterson.

Considering that Rhodes is the best of the bunch, the Harvin trade worked out.

Patterson hasn't done anything since week 1, and what he did in that game was unsustainable (3 carries, 102 yards). Has not shown to be a reliable receiving threat, despite being, you know, a receiver.

"Can we get Jordan Cameron for him?"
"No."
"How about Julius Thomas"
"No."
"What about a first rounder?"
"Jets will give you a 6th rounder."
"........

.....deal."

Coupe of things:

TEs in general are not that valuable. A solid #2 or #3 receiver is better than most TEs. (I'm not saying Harvin is a solid #2 or #3 based on what he did in Seattle, I'm just saying in general)

Julius Thomas is obviously a fantasy monster, but overall he's not great.

Jordan Cameron disappears from games a lot, it's frustrating.

I think people are believing too much, and just connecting the dots of the Seahawks wanting a TE, and two of the teams who were involved with the talks happened to have notable TEs.
