Jerry "The King" Lawler Suffers Stroke Or Heart Attack

Lawler had stopped breathing and was given CPR at the arena. He collapsed during a match between the team of Daniel Bryan and Kane vs. The Prime Time Players, during which most people in the stands could be seen watching the commentator area (which is off camera during matches) instead of the match.

Lawler, 62, had competed in a match earlier in the evening, teaming with Randy Orton against CM Punk and Dolph Ziggler. He appeared in an on-camera segment just before collapsing and seemed fine.

Update at 9:49 p.m.: It is believed Lawler suffered a stroke or heart attack.

Lawler, nicknamed "The King," was given CPR by ringside trainers after he stopped breathing. According to reports, Lawler was then taken to the emergency room at a hospital in Montreal. Michael Cole, who was broadcasting the match with him, said Lawler was responsive and was reacting to doctors.

If they really had to do CPR for 20+ minutes like the reports state, he's extremely lucky to even be alive right now.

Since he collaped right at ring side, they must have brought him backstage first to avoid doing CPR infront of thousands of people. Scary to think he was clinically dead the entire time. Even more remarkable that he survived it.

Safe to say that was his last work in the ring though.

I wasn't watching last night, but I heard about it shortly after. Michael Cole was given updates, as the article says. I guess for the last 20-30 minutes Michael Cole didn't do any commentary, out of respect for Lawler. That's a scary thing to happen, and I can't imagine what the fans were thinking too who were there to see this. #PrayForLawler

I was there Monday night ... Saw the medical staff run near the ring and all .. Couldn't see what really happened with him after but once he was taken out ... it wasn't the same thing like all the wrestlers weren't giving their 100 % and it was really sad ... But his getting better now from what I've heard ...
