Jennings is set to earn $3.18MM in the final year of his rookie scale contract but the dynamic point guard is said to be seeking a maximum deal. While the one-guard has shown a great deal of promise, it seems unlikely that Milwaukee would spend that much to keep him in the fold, especially with Monta Ellis holding an option at the end of the year. Jennings has expressed dissatisfaction with the Bucks in the past but over the summer he publicly said that he hopes to reach a new deal with the club.

He definitely needs to be a better distributor. I don't think he's worth the max either though.

If Lin can get a 14million dollar offer, someone better give BJ a deal.

Someone will give him the money he wants... and if Milwaukee wants to ever be anything better then a lotto team, they'll learn they have to keep your assets.

Right now I'd rather pay Lin the max though. His production per 36 is overall better than Jennings. Not saying I'd give Lin a max offer but I'd say he more worth it than Jennings at the moment. If Lin improves he'll definitely be worth that max. The same can be said about Jennings though I guess lol.

Im sorry rios but Idk how much of Lin you've seen.

Like I said before, Im grateful for what he did for us....

But usually your starting point should be able to dribble with both hands...... or at least dribble

GTFO with this Jennings crap, quit being a racist.

The dude has played 3 seasons and hasn't put up a 6 APG season yet. If I remember correctly, he plays point guard... He should look to get his teammates involved more often. And don't begin to tell me about his teammates because look at guys like Jose Calderon, it's possible.

And even if you are a shoot first, shoot second, shoot third PG... How about you hit your shots? 39% shooter over three years?

Shot 33% from three but was 2nd in the league in attempts?

Accept what you can and can't do, and then you can be successful. Right now, Jennings is a complete bum. No team will ever be successful with him.

Signing Brandon Jennings to a contract of 14 mill+ per season would not make him an asset. It would make him an immovable contract that the Bucks would be trying to get out of a short time after and it would probably cost the Bucks an asset just to get rid of him.

If Eric Gordon can get a max deal after only playing 9 games I think Jennings can if he has a good year.

Not saying I'd give it to him, but wouldn't surprise me if one team somewhere would take that chance.

I'd rather give it to him than to just let him walk and never know what could have been. It's only a three year deal so by the time it's up will be around the same time Davis and Rivers are up for new contracts.

With Halloween now less than three weeks away, teams are slowly running out of time to negotiate new deals with their extension-eligible fourth-year players. Brandon Jennings is one player that could be extended by the end of the month, though a recent Marc Stein report suggested that's unlikely. Still, Bucks GM John Hammond told Ryan Ellerbusch of ESPNMilwaukee.com (Twitter link) that the team's chances of retaining Jennings long-term are "very good."

Even if Jennings and the Bucks don't work out an extension by the end of October, Milwaukee will still have the opportunity to re-sign the point guard next summer. Assuming the team issues Jennings a qualifying offer, he'll become a restricted free agent, meaning the Bucks will have the right to match any offer sheet he signs elsewhere. According to Ellerbusch, Hammond appeared confident the Bucks could match another team's offer, which shouldn't come as a surprise -- if Monta Ellis opts out of his contract next July, the Bucks could be under the cap by $25MM+.

Recent reports have indicated that agent Bill Duffy figures to push for a maximum-salary deal for his client, which Chuck Myron of Hoops Rumors opined would be mutually beneficial for Jennings and the Bucks. Still, if Jennings is holding out for a max contract, the Bucks aren't under a ton of pressure to lock him up right away. The team would still have the opportunity to retain him at that price next summer, and could potentially even save a few bucks if the 23-year-old has health issues or a decline in production in 2012/13.

Was starting to think I was the only one that noticed Lin can't dribble.
