Brandon Jennings revealed that he will consider leaving Milwaukee for a bigger market when his rookie contract ends.

"I am going to keep my options open, knowing that the time is coming up,'' Jennings said in an email interview. "I'm doing my homework on big market teams.''

Jennings will become eligible to sign a long-term extension with the Bucks this summer.

"I'm not saying I won't (sign an extension with the Bucks) and I'm not saying I will,'' he said. "I'm just keeping my options open.''

Jennings played one season in Italy instead of going to Arizona for his freshman season.

"It has nothing to do with the city of Milwaukee or anything like that because that's where I started my career,'' Jennings said. "They've been nothing but good to me. (Coach) Scott Skiles and (general manager) John Hammond have been good to me. It's just that I'm understanding the business of basketball now.''

Could see this a mile away lol. Easy to tell Jennings isn't the type of player who'd wanna be in such a small market.

Cue the clueless fans of big market teams who are happy with about 9 teams winning a title in the last 30 years.

Competitive balance at its finest

It's already a foregone conclusion that he's going to be a Laker.

Jennings wants out because he's an LA guy, has nothing to do with his dislike for Milwaukee.

if he went to LA it would be the whole "he wants to be a superstar in a big market".... hes also from compton and la is his hometown team and they need a quick point guard to handle cp3 for years. if he went there id buy it for those reasons first, big market second.

I was listening to ESPN this morning, and one of the hosts had a good point.

He said if your a good player, and not just some guy who's "kind of" good, that your going to find the money and the endorsements nomatter where you play. And that not everywhere is New York, or LA.

And unless you're LeBron James or Kobe Bryant, you're going to make more in LA or NY than everywhere else.

If Jeremy Lin played on any small market team, half the league probably still would have never heard of him if he put up the same numbers and still won every game. It's all about the exposure.

I hope you don't believe that.

I believe that. At least for the first 3-4 games he would rarely have been talked about.

it's different with Lin

the fact that he went to Harvard, was undrafted and is Asian, he would have been talked about

this is why lin is being talked about first, stats second. dude is averaging 6tpg but they won't mention that. I'm a firm believer in what nola said about how good you are, but the city you play for DOES still help maid you money too.

Well I mean Lin was being talked about after his performance in the summer league, the SUMMER LEAGUE, and he was talked about more after that performance led him to getting a contract with Golden State or whoever it was.
