Jennings To Consider Bigger Market

Brandon Jennings revealed that he will consider leaving Milwaukee for a bigger market when his rookie contract ends.

"I am going to keep my options open, knowing that the time is coming up,'' Jennings said in an email interview. "I'm doing my homework on big market teams.''

Jennings will become eligible to sign a long-term extension with the Bucks this summer.

"I'm not saying I won't (sign an extension with the Bucks) and I'm not saying I will,'' he said. "I'm just keeping my options open.''

Jennings played one season in Italy instead of going to Arizona for his freshman season.

"It has nothing to do with the city of Milwaukee or anything like that because that's where I started my career,'' Jennings said. "They've been nothing but good to me. (Coach) Scott Skiles and (general manager) John Hammond have been good to me. It's just that I'm understanding the business of basketball now.''

I was listening to ESPN this morning, and one of the hosts had a good point.

He said if your a good player, and not just some guy who's "kind of" good, that your going to find the money and the endorsements nomatter where you play. And that not everywhere is New York, or LA.

If Jeremy Lin played on any small market team, half the league probably still would have never heard of him if he put up the same numbers and still won every game. It's all about the exposure.

this is why lin is being talked about first, stats second. dude is averaging 6tpg but they won't mention that. I'm a firm believer in what nola said about how good you are, but the city you play for DOES still help maid you money too.

Well I mean Lin was being talked about after his performance in the summer league, the SUMMER LEAGUE, and he was talked about more after that performance led him to getting a contract with Golden State or whoever it was.
