Switched to Kobe, and he's getting a 68 point game

Denver is intriguing, but there are also reasons for the concern. There was a reason Karl didn't play McGee very much.

Don't even get me started on Dallas, laughs all around.

I just don't see it in Portland, their offense will be good, and they'll be fun as hell to watch, but their offense won't be able to score as many points as their defense gives up.
I freaking hate monta, but I am giving Carlisle and dirk the benefit of the doubt

Kobe won't miss long, and if he doesn't miss long, that team will be fighting for the playoffs.
That team will be bad even with Kobe.

Last season with Dwight Howard and Ron Artest, they gave up something like 101-102 ppg. They might push 108 this season.

they literally do not have a single good defensive player
even semi-good

You'd think they'd be worse, but they're gonna have one of those weird rallying around fake adversity that doesn't exist seasons.

Carlisle is one of the best coaches in the league, but Dirk isn't anywhere near Finals MVP Dirk either. I don't think he can carry a team anymore, and honestly even though I greatly disagree with it, I'm waiting for Monta Ellis to take more shots than Dirk. He'll limit the offensive impact Dirk can have.

they're going to have their moments because the entire team pretty much can shoot a 3

but they are going to have some "Wtf" meltdowns too and blow a lot of potential big leads

I totally think Dirk could still be VERY good, just he won't be able to carry that team at his age and Ellis will limit his effectiveness even more.

actually, lakers have already entered the dead zone but Carmelo is their get out of jail free card. if he doesnt come, they stay in the dead zone

even with melo though, are they really that good? they'd be this same lakers team

And talking about Dallas, I just have to kind of laugh. It must have been so exciting to be a Mavs fan two summers ago. The Mavs were getting Deron Williams, and if they didn't get him they were getting Dwight. Maybe even they get them both?

They basically forfeited their chance at another title to get Deron and Dwight, and obviously neither of those two guys went there. So two years later, they finally cash in their chips or use that space they had on Calderon, Dalembert, Monta Ellis, and Devin Harris.

Personally, if I was a Mavs fan I would be sick that they forfeited a chance to defend their title for two very average seasons, and after all that I'm left with the roster they have now.
