If you were a Yankees fan, would you want A-Rod back?

Saw this poll on SportsNation and the numbers were overwhelming so I was curious to see what everyone on here felt, especially the Yankee fans.
 
Given the joke of production that our third basemen have given us this year..with the last homerun from the position coming on David Adam's debut..would you welcome A-Rod back to man the hot corner and at the very least give some decent production in comparison?
 
He's going to appeal any suspension handed out to him, buying him at least a little time to have him in there, but after everything is it even worth having him back?
 
Personally I'd rather never see him play another game and see the Yankees recollect their money.

The Yanks are going to end up paying him the boat-load of cash he's still owed but I think it gets uglier.  Because MLB is taking so long on this whole Biogenisis (pending) punishment, I think they're gunning for something major, like, lifetime ban-type major.  I believe MLB is reviewing their evidence with a legal team and exploring what options they have and of course, what options A-Rod has, in anticipation he will fight it.  
 
And yes, I do believe the Yankees are "in the loop" on w/e it is MLB is planning right now.  I think there's definitely a reason the Yanks are trying to stall A-Rod's return to the field and in the end, this all blows up into a major fiasco.  But A-Rod is already a guy few like and he's going to be made an example out of by MLB on this whole steroids issue.

Joel Sherman and Ken Davidoff of the New York Post report that Major League Baseball could suspend Alex Rodriguez though the end of the 2014 season due to his connection with the Biogenesis clinic.
The report states that MLB is expected to hand down Biogenesis suspensions this week, with A-Rod obviously receiving the stiffest penalty. The other players are likely looking at 50-game bans, though it's possible the suspensions could vary based on how heavily they're involved. Sherman and Davidoff say that A-Rod's camp met with MLB recently "trying to gain a better understanding of potential penalties" but it's "unequivocally untrue" that Rodriguez is seeking a settlement. A-Rod turned 38 on Saturday but is still owed $86 million from 2014-17.

A-Rod was hurt, and couldn't play. Now he is healthy, and wants to be playing 3B for the New York Yankees. The fact that he isn't playing, that management is saying he isn't healthy when he is, is really low. This has very little to do with the PEDs, it's about paying A-Rod like $114M over the next 5 years or something like that. Keeping him out just to hope he gets kicked out of the MLB for the steroids, to avoid paying him, is ridiculous. You gave him that contract, and he wants to prove he's worth it. This isn't like A-Rod isn't trying, sitting around getting cash. He WANTS to be out there, and the Yankees should play him.


Not to mention they are horrid at 3B. Who is there right now, Edwardo Nunez? Jayson Nix? Girardi needs A-Rod in his lineup, and Cashman won't let him

I agree the Yankees are 100% wrong for essentially "sandbagging" his return to the club but it's not like him being off the big league diamond means he isn't getting paid.  I think we can all agree A-Rod is toxic to the team at this point and they simply don't want him around their clubhouse, to which I can understand.  He's making a boatload of cash whether he's in the Bronx or rehabbing, so I don't feel bad for him the least bit.  The Yankees are also the one's writing his checks so they can do w/e they want with him as far as I'm concerned.  
 
And let's remember something here, Cashman never liked A-Rod all that much and his being a Yankee is more the doing of Steinbrenner.  I can understand why he's pissed and c'mon, A-Rod has managed to remain this huge pain in the ass & hasn't spent a single day on the 25-man roster this season.

He's making this such a big issue to try and deter people's focus on Biogenesis and his impending suspension/ban/appeal. He's just trying to get the attention off him and on the Yankees. 
 
For a while I was against the Yankees on this but now I'm starting to see that it's more A-Rod's fault. They have to know that no matter what A-Rod's not taking any deal and he's going to appeal any suspension, so they can't keep him off the club all season. But I'm also starting to wonder if players are telling management they don't want him in the clubhouse, and that it's not jut ownership & Cashman who feel that way.
