I don't think he contributed enough on the offensive end to warrant being in the Hall Of Fame.

this wasnt me saying hes a fist ballot hofer. also keep in mind that people vote in terms of off the court to so dennis probably wont get in while he should. so saying that, ben is one of the BEST off the court players in ANY sport..

He's def one of the best defensive players of all time but I'm not a 100% on that getting him an HOF spot

i've been saying for years he's an HOF, but after thinking about it, no.

he had 7 years of averaging over 10 rebounds a game. very good. his highest was 15. also very good, but not too overwhelming
3 straight years of over 3 blocks a game. excellent. but everything else is pretty much the norm for any good center

4 DPOY is great. 4 All-stars is good, but not HOF. no all-nba first team. 3 2nd team, 2 3rd team. 5 all-defensive 1st teams is great

so look. he had about 5 really great defensive years in his career. the rest were pretty decent to not very good seasons (like his cleveland stint and early career Washington stint.

very great defensive player. one of the better defensive players of all time, especially considering his size, but not an HOF
