I have a question..

Why do people like this "new" style of sigs? I personally don't like them..
I don't want to start a fight I'm just wondering..

are you talkin about NJNets (No Offense) cuz I know what you mean. some are blah and some are good. Me, I also have done some new styles but most of them were ok .

Its a matter of preference. EVERYONE doesn't like them, but a majority of the designer on the net like them, thus other people make it. There are still many designer that make the old clean way like Deve and NJ29. There are also those who make those grunge sigs using brushes which are considered n00bish compared to the ones NJNets makes because what the new style is, it is harder to make than the old one.

The style is more like abstract, and lighting becomes a bigger factor in designing.

like he said -- it's all a matter of preference. Go look at csj89's stuff. He evolves using all aspects of design, including the grunge brushing. To me he is the best that I know of right now -- hell, he actually gets paid by pro Athletes to design their websites and such.
