I think he should have been given at least an extra year in full control. I think he's done a good job as GM, has just had some poor luck/made some bad picks in the draft

Dude wrote a 13-page resignation letter. Deadspin is on the warpath to get a hold of a copy.

I think he's done a terrible job as GM. The 76ers are a dumpster fire, and they've done so much losing over the years the culture among the locker room, coaching staff and front office must be toxic. What Hinkie did was acquire a bunch of top draft picks. That's fine and well, but a couple of those haven't/won't turn out (which is his fault), and the product he's put onto the court every season stinks. It's an absolute failure that he was unable to ever get an even average, competent point guard while leading the 76ers.

Fortunately for 76ers, he was able to acquire what will be two more very high draft picks. Hopefully their next GM will make the right decisions with these picks, quickly change the losing culture that Hinkie made worse, and begin to breathe life into this dead franchise.

One extreme to the other tho.

They're going from Hinkie with the draft picks to Mr. Patch Work, The Quick Fix in the Six, Bryan Colangelo.

I don't think that it's really fair that he was pressured into resigning. His process was working and he should have been able to see it through until the end. I think that the 76ers are a lot closer than what people think (especially if they get Ben Simmons) when it comes to being relevant again.
