You sounded hella serious until Justin ripped you upMe7o said:Done what? If u didn't read above, i said i wasn't serious.
Win shares do not determine the best season ever. And he's only played 22 games this year lol. You can't take that sample size and extrapolate it for an entire season until he's at least played half of a season, and even then it's still not very accurate. I could probably pull up some 20-25 game stretches as well that would rival "best ever"BNC said:http://www.basketball-reference.com...tat=&c5comp=gt&c6mult=1.0&c6stat=&order_by=ws

Oh, and his team is 22-0
Which season, at least statistically, has been better than this?
In what way did i sound serious? I was aiming more for sarcasm and i dont know a justib on here#2 SG of all time #24 said:You sounded hella serious until Justin ripped you up
He's averaging 32-6-5. It's a good thing there are metrics to account for differences in shooting distance like TS%. The reason his FG% is only at 52% is because over half of his shots are from 3. His TS% is the second highest EVER. I realize it's been only 22 games, if you go back and read my comments you will see that I preface it by saying it's still really early. Steph's counting numbers would be among some of the best ever if he played more minutes. Oh and his PER is 35.1, go and find me someone with a PER over 32 with a significant number of minutes, I'll wait.#2 SG of all time #24 said:It's been 22 games and he's averaging what, 32/4/4 or something on 52% shooting? That's a nice stretch, but he won't have this at the end of the year. But to say he will have the greatest season ever is very bold when we have so many all time greats. This is HIS best season, but not the best season ever, come on
LMAAOO this is so stupid.#2 SG of all time #24 said:Bro u can back that shit up with all those fake ass TS numbers or whatever but he is not gonna have the greatest season ever, that's just ridiculous. At shooting maybe, cuz he's a great shooter, but that's all he is. Take away the three point shot from him and he's a simple Pg
Or maybe Steph just realizes that a 3 pointer for him is a better option than just about any other shot on the floor. You do realize that 3 is worth more than 2 right? Because if you can't understand this than I'm just gonna stop wasting my time with you. Oh and Steph is shooting a better percentage at the rim than pretty much anyone in the league right now, so your point is moot#2 SG of all time #24 said:Curry is the reason, players play basketball wrong these days. The true basketball rule is to get easy points when you can. On a fastbreak , curry and his boys take threes when they run 3 on 1 or 4 on 2, and that's not how true basketball is played. Coaches always taught us back in the day to take lay ups whenever you can and would rip your balls off if you took a three in transition 3 on 1. Curry can't attack very great on fastbreak and get to the rim bc he's scared to get blocked so he takes those threes. All he does is shoot threes. All he is, is a great shooter who occasionally drives the lane for a lay up (ray allen). Dude rarely gets over 7 assists, dude doesn't get much rebounds, he plays mediocre defense, but scores alot of points on threes so now all of a sudden he's a goat??? Compared to MJ???? He's a player who has a stacked team, and who fits in this system so well. Steph curry is a great shooter, that's it. Don't get it twisted everyone bc of all the hype and the exaggerations by some of our posters here
No, but they're another good metric that can be used among others to prove a point. Funny how you just skipped over his current PERcavsfan817 said:Win shares do not determine the best season ever.

Bc he's got a stacked team. Got starters coming off the bench. Do you how much easier it is for him to be a threat when he has so many great players around him that the opposite team has to pay attention to all the time?BNC said:No, but they're another good metric that can be used among others to prove a point. Not the greatest comparison but

The thing that separates Steph is that his team hasn't lost yet, would be nice to see a chart with advanced numbers for a better comparison.
Lmaoo don't even bring in steals bc you and I both know how AI did it too. Steph gambles alot in the passing lane, so don't pretend that he's a lockdown defender on his own man. He has a great defensive team around him to hide all of his mistakesBNC said:
dont compare AI with curry , curry is no where near iverson#2 SG of all time #24 said:Lmaoo don't even bring in steals bc you and I both know how AI did it too. So what you're saying is no other great player has had good teammates? Good to know.#2 SG of all time #24 said:Bc he's got a stacked team. Got starters coming off the bench. everyone has good teammates , ask lebron how he won back 2 back rings lolBNC said:So what you're saying is no other great player has had good teammates? Good to know.
Oh and the Warriors offense works because of how Curry shoots 3s
But to say he's a bad defender is just wrong. He's not great 1 on 1, but as a team defender he is really good. I don't think he "gambles" he knows what he's doing and makes smart plays#2 SG of all time #24 said:Lmaoo don't even bring in steals bc you and I both know how AI did it too.
