Who are some current players in or around the game that you see having a future in coaching at the NBA level, whether it be as a Head Coach or as an Assistant ?

Blatt will make a resurgence sooner, rather than later.

Nash would be a good coach I feel like and when the Suns fired their coach, they asked Nash but he said he wasn't ready to coach yet

Gotta think Thibs gets a call any day now too.

Heard that he's always wanted to coach the Knicks

I think so too. A lot of teams would be upgrading with some of the coaches on the market.

Thibs and the Knicks make a ton of sense since he's a New Yorker originally. What about current players towards the ends of their careers? I can definitely see Dirk as a coach

Maybe we can look at the flip side of this... Derek Fisher was just fired today and he could probably be a deep role player on some teams lol

Yeah I'm not either
The only thing I took away from watching those games was that his ATO plays are at least pretty decent, his rotations are bad, he can learn though, and the way he managed his timeouts and the game wasn't good

walton went 39-4 or whatever it was because of the warriors' talent. steve is 7-0 since he returned, then again walton started off what 24-0 or something ridiculous. but yea luke doesn't know when to call timeouts lol. or sub the starters back in. and steve just keeps playing barbosa.........ian clark needs his shine

I didn't think that Luke was THAT bad haha. Yeah you can assemble a great team but they still need to be coached somewhat. I think he could have done a lot worse in terms of mismanaging things.

He wasn't bad by any stretch. But he certainly should not be recruited nearly as much as it seems he is when there's guys like Thibs and Blatt out there

Also think JJ Redick could be a decent coach when his playing days are over.

I was thinking JJ too actually, good call. And definitely agree on Mark Jackson, I wanted him to get the Bulls job over Hoiberg
