Patriots have informed LB Tully Banta-Cain, who had 15 sacks the past two seasons, that he will be released Thursday.

The Titans are going to sign Matt to a "huge" deal? SMFH. I love it.

Nate Davis is a decent signing. You can't really get any worse when you look at Painter, so it's cool.

lol why would we release Tully? He was clearly our best pass rusher last year, and isn't on a giant contract. I guess we are really liking Cunningham

The Packers have told Nick Barnett they will trade to trade him, and if not, they will release him.

Cowboys cut OG Leonard Davis.

Wow, I see Brown's outlook hasn't changed on this at all..

Brown won't trade Palmer, considers him retired
By GEOFF HOBSON

Posted 20 minutes ago

Bengals president Mike Brown sounded the death knell of quarterback Carson Palmer's hopes to play at least this season and maybe beyond Tuesday when he spoke of him in the past tense. He refuses to trade him and considers him retired with four years left on a deal thought to be roughly worth $40 million.

"I'm not expecting him to be back," Brown told the club's training camp media luncheon. "Carson signed a contract. He made a commitment. We have relied on his commitment. We expect him to perform it here. If he doesn't and walks away from his commitment, we aren’t going to reward him, for doing it."

Brown, still seemingly stunned by Palmer's trade-or-retire demand of six months ago, couldn’t hide his admiration for the man that ran his club for the past seven years, went to two Pro Bowls and quarterbacked two AFC North titles.

"I honestly like Carson Palmer. He was a splendid player for us," Brown said. "He's a good person. I wish him well and he's retired. That was his choice."

Just posted that up. It's basically saying Carson is a retired football player, and he won't move Carson in the Rotoworld article.

Told David eariler that not much will happen, dude acted as if people were actually going to sign and shit.

Herzlich is the perfect example to not trust whatever you read before its official.

Breaston's the better option, he's younger

sounds like the jets
He's still going to want to get paid good. The Jets aren't going to re-sign some key pieces like Holmes, etc. if he is signed so.

I'm still thinking Eagles or Texans.

Is this like the NBA where teams are allowed to exceed the cap to resign their own players? If so, they could get under the cap far enough to make Scrabble possible and then resign Holmes (or Bray) after

Holmes will be gone by then.

He can get more money elsewhere.

I'm pretty sure it's a hard cap
