Free Agent Predictions
It’s that time of the year where every fan base is excited and enthused about their draft picks and the possibility that the next season could be the one where they take over the league. A key reason for that optimism every year is free agency and the thrill teams and fan bases get chasing star players and recruiting them to their teams. This year is no different but the buzz feels different around the league with many teams awaiting and predicting this year will be the year the Mavericks fall off from their league superiority. Things change incredibly quickly in this league and you can never truly know what a player and their inner circles are thinking but I’ve tried to predict the landing spots for the top free agents.

Dame Lillard – New York Knicks
The Knicks have embraced a youth movement but early whispers around the sim league is their GM is also looking to compete for a playoff spot this season. What better way to speed up the rebuild than to sign this all third team pro point guard to accelerate the rebuild in MSG.

Is Lillard blinded by the lights of New York or will he return to Orlando?

Lauri Markannen – Portland
This young star could fill a need for them and inject some youth by giving them spacing and shooting from a big and giving more space for IT and Jimmy to work and isolate. Also could be a deadly pick and pop guy with Isaiah Thomas.

Jarrett Allen – Memphis
Not much to talk about here. They're going to match whatever offer sheet he signs. He's viewed as the franchise player in Memphis.

Jayson Tatum – Orlando
See: Jarrett Allen's post above. He's also not going anywhere.

CJ Mccollum - Pacers
There are rumors the Timberwolves are leaning towards a youth movement. Which if that is the case we see them moving in an opposite direction from McCollum. He would give the Pacers a veteran scoring presence that they're lacking and could rotate in at the one or two depending on any serious injuries to Hampton or Edwards.

Kyle Lowry - Bucks
His veteran presence just makes sense and he makes Kevin Love's life so much easier up in the east.

Donovan Mitchell -TBD
Rumors are swirling of a potential sign and trade. Only thing for certain in regards to Mitchell is he isn't taking anything less than a max contract.

Kyle Kuzma - Clippers
The Clippers GM believes him to be the secondary scorer of the franchise after Harden and contemplated signing him to a max. We're betting on him staying hollywood Kuz for a while.

Draymond Green - Atlanta
Atlanta is going for it all now. They were close to the finals last year. It just makes sense to run it all back at least one more year and see where the chips fall.

Dwight Howard - Washington
The young fun bunch of wings and guards need a big to protect the paint and there's not many better paint defenders and lob threats in the game than Dwight.

Andre Drummond - Detroit
The Pistons could use a battle tested veteran big who is still young to run and grow with LaMelo and not many guys fit that description better than Andre Drummond.

Could Drummond's summer league outfit tell us where he's leaning in FAcy?

Jordan Clarkson - Charlotte
Russ and Ayton both need another scorer who can make life easier for them while not being high usage and that fits with Clarkson who has just got buckets wherever he's played in this league.

If we’re able to sign Dame were a playoff lock.. the plan is to get a wing and a big .. go the no star route .. but I’d love Dame ..

Good read
