Flyers, Rangers winter classic 2012

Its official, just released on NHL.com, the 2012 winter classic will be between the Flyers and the Ranges, hosted by Philly.

LOL, ALOT of teams have big rivalrys, Caps and Pens, Preds and Blues. In every division there is a rivalry.

And it would only be ood because it would be the previous Champs vs the Current champs

Canucks and Blackhawks have arguably the best rivalry in the NHL right now. Faced each other in the last 3 seasons in the playoffs and everytime they play each other there is always controversial plays. No question it would be the most entertaining game to watch. Only two big rivalries right now are the caps and pens and nucks and hawks and caps and pens played in the winter classic last year.
Also just because it would be previous cup champions vs current cup champions wouldn't make it a good game. If there's no rivalry there, which there Isn't, It wouldn't be that entertaining of a game.

Obviously it won't happen because Bettman isn't going to put a canadian team in the winter classic it seems, but it would definitely be the most entertaining game.

Everyone knows its the best, the whole Ovi and Crosby concept, just because the Hawks beat the Nucks in 3 playoffs in a row, than the Nucks finally beat them just means Hawks were a better team until Nucks finally nutted up and made it to the finals.

But ya, not even the point. Bettman butt rapeing us Canadians is my point, so EVEN IF in your opinion Nucks and Hawks have the biggest rivaly, it wouldnt happen.

Everyone knows its the best, the whole Ovi and Crosby concept, just because the Hawks beat the Nucks in 3 playoffs in a row, than the Nucks finally beat them just means Hawks were a better team until Nucks finally nutted up and made it to the finals.

But ya, not even the point. Bettman butt rapeing us Canadians is my point, so EVEN IF in your opinion Nucks and Hawks have the biggest rivaly, it wouldnt happen.

No. All the nucks and hawks game have tons of energy and even when they play in the regular season its like a playoff game. Hawks beat them twice in a row lol not 3 times and all 3 series were so entertaining. The whole Ovie vs Crosby thing is so overhyped, its clear Crosby is the better player and the pens vs caps games don't even have the same kind of energy as a Nucks vs Hawks or Bruins vs Montreal. I actually totally forgot about the Bruins and Montreal rivalry, imo that or the nucks vs hawks would be the best choice. Nucks vs Hawks = Bruins vs Montreal > Caps vs Pens imo

Anyways it is really gay that Bettman hasn't put a Canadian team in the Winter Classic, but hey at least we have the Heritage Classic.

The rivalry is over hyped because Crosby is clearly better. Gold medal, Stanley cup, 120 point season. All things Ovechkin has never achieved and until he does that it will stay that way. Crosby was also on pace to demolish Ovechkin in stats last year. Ovechkin just doesn't seem to have the leadership ability that Crosby has and hasn't been able to lead his team to even a conference final.

Also it's not just Nucks fans that are saying its the best rivalry. Last playoffs during the Hawks vs Nucks series some of the panel on TSN said it was probably the best rivalry in the NHL right now.
