Wow this is horrible. Guy was a class act and I wish he was still announcing when he was alive. RIP ERNIE.

too bad i never got to listen to him live.
former dodger too. got traded to Brooklyn as an announcer for a catcher lol

Rest in Peace Ernie Harwell. One of the greatest to do it

I think Vin Scully is the last of these old school great announcers. I'm listening to Vinny as I type this too

Heard about this during the game Tuesday. When they announced it, Twins fans gave a standing ovation. Would have been nice to win that game also, but we didn't. I'll defiantely be tunning in before the game Monday when they do a pre-game memorial for him.

RIP Ernie Harwell. You will be missed, but never forgotten.
