Didn't he walk like 8 batters?

Looking at that box score...this thread should read, "Rays can't hit the ball". Edwin Jackson was far from 'dominating' in this performance.

Didn't Burnett throw a no hitter before and gave up 9 walks? Lol

But the Rays are the best team in baseball. Blake said so!

Congrats Edwin, but throwing 8 walks makes it look a lot worse haha.

But nice job, I love Edwin. He has been bad this year, he really needed this.

You can walk all the batters you want -- thing to realize is he got out of those issues with runners on base and didn't allow a hit.

Also have to give him credit for almost throwin 150 pitches tonight.

I'm not really trying to diminish what he did, I'm just saying it's not as impressive to me.

I think they said his first 7 walks came in the first 3 innings.. I think it's more impressive that he bounced back to throw it. Still had his best stuff when he was over 130 pitches.

Oh I didn't know that. I guess that's different. Surprised he didn't give up a sac fly or anything.

Pitchers are dominating these days.

And there is a reason now why the pitchers are so dominant now is because the hitters arent on steriods anymore and so now the pitchers will be dominant again the way it use to be in the good old days. Glad steriods are not as big in baseball. Because I would rather see a great pitching duel than a <Censored> load of home runs.
