The Knicks still have Douglas, Fields, etc, not to mention they might sign Chandler back.

Yeah, they're gonna sign Chandler back with zero cap space and then trade him away again

Douglas and Fields are nothing worth noting

Are you serious?

Billups expiring, Toney Douglas, Landry Fields, etc. They have plenty of pieces they can deal.

Toney Douglas and Landry are nothing when you're talking about trading for CP3

I would re-word that. Melo is easily better than D-Will. STAT and D-Will is a toss-up for me.
Easily, I don't think so. Carmelo Anthony is a glorified scorer that is a defensive liability and one of the more inefficient offensive options in the league. He has bigger name recognition, but many argued the very validity of Melo as a legitimate superstar because of these very reasons before the trade. I don't think those arguments were unsubstantiated. Deron Williams isn't a superstar either, but before Derrick Rose won MVP, was widely considered the best PG in the league aside perhaps to Chris Paul. I do think Anthony is a better player than Williams, but comparisons between the two are closer to a wash than one clear cut over the other.

And personally, I think if Deron Williams would have been traded to the Knicks, we wouldn't be having this discussion. He is a better fit on that team than Anthony considering the composition of the team, has at least now. Small sample size perhaps, to make that argument, but I stand by it.

With all those 3 pt shooters the Mavs have, he would fit in perfectly.
Ehh idk man cause the Magic have always been deep with 3pt shooters themselves. The main difference would be playing alongside Dirk

question... when Deron Williams says that he won't leave if they can get this team together, DWill says D-Will isn't going... but when Dwight says the same thing, it's BS and Dwight is leaving Orlando? o_O the fuck?
