Drake Makes Recruiting Pitch to Kevin Durant During Toronto Concert

The Toronto Raptors may have a hard time landing the biggest free agents, but with the help of an ambassador named Drake, they may have a better chance moving forward.

As evidenced by the video below, Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Kevin Durant attended a recent Drake concert in Toronto. With the 2013-14 NBA MVP present, the rapper made a pitch to Durant—with the help of the crowd—to sign with the Raptors when he becomes a free agent in the summer of 2016.

Update: August 11 at 1:28 p.m. ET
It looks like the Raptors ambassador crossed the line at the concert:

Hearing Raptors fined $25,000 for comments Drake made at a concert about Kevin Durant that were seen as violation of anti-tampering rules

LOL. 25K isn't nothing to him anyways.

He does all the team branding and is helping in redesigning the team image. All the giveaway tshirts you get at the games are all designed by OVO.

Pennies considering it brings in attention. In this case its not so much negative attention as it is spotlight on a team that isn't afraid to pay the price for attraction.

Well of course the NBA wouldn't admit to that.

What exactly do the Raptors pay Drake to do? Tell people he works for the Raptors?

It's actually a legit question, because if it isn't to promote them like this than I'm not sure what it is
