fwiw, I never use a mouse for cutting. granted I have a MacBook but still, I find the trackpad easier to maneuver than a mouse

yea for me when it comes to cutting: mouse>tablet>trackpad. The mouse has the fluidity of the tablet and the precision of the trackpad you need for cutting something out.

I just find it easier for me to use the trackpad. that's how I learned PS and that's how I cut

Never owned a tablet before either. Tried it once and hated it
