Yeah that team reached its ceiling already, there's a 0% chance they ever beat the Cavs in the playoffs.

He should bounce.
You think theyve reached their ceiling when lowry and derozan were having the shittiest playoffs in nba history plus JV was injured??? Deff can play alot better.

Making the ECF is their ceiling. They won't make the Finals as long as LeBron's in the east.

They won 2 games by playing like complete ass and without JV.

Valanciunas was not swinging that series in the other direction.

Lol the over reactions. Pretty much every destination except for a few is not gonna win you a title, let the man stay in Toronto. Lebron is not gonna be here forever, the Cavs might suck in three years. You never know in this league.
The fact that he was on the second best team in the East puts him closer to a title than any other realistic destination.

Ya Raptors are definitely dumb enough to offer him a max. I think he himself might take a slight discount if he does decide to stay.

Only question I have is, if he's not meeting with other teams, why hasn't he re-signed with the Raptors yet?
Can't really do anything until Friday

Toronto has built such a good roster. They have as good of a chance as any non-Cleveland team in the East. That might be a small chance but both Kyrie and Love have injury histories. Toronto making a Finals at some point isn't completely absurd. Is it unlikely? Yes.

But he's technically still under contract with the Raptors, right? They can just sign him to an extension

Yeah, I think opting out of his final year put him in that UFA class who has to wait until Friday.

That series was a blowout
Yea cuz lowry and derozan blew dick and jv wasnt there. It be the same case if love was out and lebron n kyrie averaged 15 points on like 30% shooting like lowry did.. they didnt play their basketball

The difference is that Lowry and Derozan have made it enough of a habit of playing like shit in the postseason while Irving and LeBron both proved in this past finals the exact opposite.

What we're arguing about is perhaps the worst part of basketball--it's so hard to overcome the greatest players. I mean, it should be difficult, but we see is so rarely in basketball when you compare it to other sports. While seeing LeBron's run of Finals appearances and knowing it may not end anytime soon is a modern basketball marvel, knowing who's going to come out of one conference every year is somewhat boring, in my opinion.

I'd like to see how the Raps would match up with the Cavs if they can sign Horford. They'll never get to the finals with Luis Scola or Patrick Patterson playing the 4, Horford would be a game changer.

Not to mention they are currently at $69.9M in salary, which is $24.5M in cap space.

Add in Derozan's $15.5M cap hold, and there is a zero percent chance the Raptors sign Horford.
