the soft brush for lighting over his face looks bad as does the sharpness of the text. solid sig though

It's actually not the sharpness of the text, the text did that by itself somehow.

I kept trying to fix it but couldn't, not sure what caused it to look like that.

You probably don't have any aliasing on or something. I'm not that technical about it but I'm pretty sure that's the issue

either that or some adjustment layer caused it. solid work but lighting could be improved.

Yeah because if you look at NETS on the jersey it looks funny also.

tone down the sharpness and maybe change the opacity of the text a bit, at least the subtext. try to use stocks for lighting, I had the biggest issue with that, but I use gmaps and stocks now thanks to picasso...great advice....Cause I always used the soft white brush...
