Can you tell me how you are so fucking sure that you will get CP3? Or even have a chance to get him? Yeah, stfu.
The Knicks aren't getting another superstar. I have no idea why this is so hard for some people to understand, maybe eventually they'll pull their heads out of their asses.

The Knicks won't have the cap space to do it. If the CBA stayed exactly the same, they'd have around $11.5 million in room. CP3 will be eligible for something in the neighborhood of $18 million. That's a huge paycut ... much bigger than the one Dwyane Wade or LeBron took. However, the CBA won't stay the same. Virtually everyone agrees that the cap will likely go down. Of course, so will max salaries and there may even be a roll back on existing player salaries. But it's hard to envision the Knicks having the room. But it's not impossible. I know CP3 wants to go there. He may try to force a trade and it's possible the Hornets could blink on a deal for something like Chauncey's expiring contract and Landry Fields and Toney Douglas. As we've learned the past week, anything's possible. But if you're claiming it's likely ... I don't see it.

what is all this talk of Knicks fans having their heads in their asses. I've yet to say that CP3 will be a Knick and yet, Knicks fans keep getting categorized. We don't NEED another star. The fans want another star. We need a PG who can run with our guys and a Center who can play defense and rebound. Can everyone stop making statements about Knicks fans based off of what they hear a few say? smh.

exactly, so they both have an advantage at where any other person at their position would have over the other person. So there's no reason to say why one is better than the other.

I wasn't talking to you or Knicks fans on this site, just in general. It's more about the fans on another board to be honest.

Found about this during lunch today. Was extremely shocked, and still am.

meh.

when stats are compared...

Melo wins in Points
Melo wins in Blocks
D-Will wins in Steals
D-Will wins in Assist
Melo wins in Rebounds
D-Will wins in FT% by .030%
D-Will wins in 3P% by .013%
D-Will wins in FG% by .006%
D-Will plays more minutes.

it's pretty even production to me. D-Will barely edges Melo out in steals.
Well stats don't show you how good a defender is and Dwill is a much better defender then Melo.

oh alright. I mis-interpreted what you were saying, my bad bruh.

I wouldn't doubt it. Melo needs to pick up his defensive stuff. The Nets need to put some actual talent on their team around Deron. Melo may not have much to work with aside from Chauncey and STAT and hell, even Landry Fields. The Nets need more then D-Will and Brooke Lopez.

I think the Nets are still screwed.
I don't see any huge FA wanting to go their over NY just because of Deron.
I'd certainly rather play with Amare and Carmelo.

I think Utah made out fine though. Interesting to see how Harris plays with them. If he goes back to All-Star form, Jazz will still be a good team. But they needed to make a change as well.

For what? The veteran's minimum?

Are NBA players that shallow?

Never mind.

I'd take the veterans minimum over playing with just Deron lol.

But no point throwing out contract technicalities, unless you have some inside information on what the new CBA could look like.

we as fans have no idea which veterans would rather spend 1 year making minimum $$ if it gives them a much better chance to win a ring... a ring that they could probably sell in 30 years for more money than they could have made that year ;)

Finally someone who looks at this thing from an outside perspective and not what team they prefer. The outside perspective seems to agree that the Knicks still have a better chance at a FA. Also, I think a player will stay in there city before they leave for a watered down version of the Knicks, best known as the Brooklyn New Yorkers.

Playing with two guys who need the ball at all times, don't rebound or play D is easily more attractive... [/sarcasm]

God damn, this came out of nowhere, wasn't even any rumblings whatsoever, so now it's pretty much a bona fide fact that the Nuggets were the one feeding the media everything over the entire course of the Melodrama, considering the Nets got that shit done and there was nothing out there until it was over

Who really believes Deron stays in Jersey? Or Brooklyn...

I will say this, if Deron doesn't do his best West Side Story impersonation and doesn't run Sloan out of town, he's probably still a member of the Jazz. Supposedly he's very unhappy, but it's of your own making bro.
