So I was eating at a Fresh Kitchen in St. Pete and Chris Archer walks in. Was wearing a Cubs hat so he asked me if I saw the Cubs signed Darvish. So Idk if I'm more excited for the Cubs got Darvish or Chris Archer told me

Cubs suddenly have an expensive 2-year window, at-best, given their roto. Bullpen is weak as hell without Wade too. Maddox will be overmanaging his ass off again this season.

I think this is a great addition. When healthy, I'd say Darvish is better than Arrieta.

Disagreed. That bullpen is still a huge question mark and there are still several holes in that lineup too. Theyll be the favorite to win their division, sure.

He won't be using those slick baseballs. That'll help for sure. I swear those WS baseballs made a huge difference for sliders. Ask Kenley Jansen and Ken Giles....They'll tell you

He is DEFINITELY better than Arrieta. I didnt realize this, but I saw on Twitter that Darvish has a career 11.0 K/9, the highest of any other current SP. I didnt realize it was that high.

It's a question mark, but other teams have just as many if not more.  And the bullpen really has improved a lot.

I agree with he who disagrees. Not being a hater at all but I think the Cubs really missed the boat this offseason.  Holding onto Schwarber when there's an AL team willing to deal for him and then failing to strengthen the pen.  The Cubs most likely will win the division but that's assuming they get consistency from Lester, Darvish, and Quintana.

I think the Dodgers took a step back losing Dervish. Outside of Kershaw, I don't see them having a dominant rotation.

To date there is no indications that those three won't be consistent and that ignores arguably the team's most consistent pitcher in Kyle Hendricks.  I think an argument can be made that the Cubs won the offseason.

I can't tell if you're going for the classic reverse jinx sarcasm here, because I live for that brand
