With news that Alfonso Soriano could be the next player traded by the Cubs, it has been reported that the American League is his most likely destination.

He has appeal to teams as a designated hitter.

The Cubs have talked to at least eight American League teams over the last six weeks about a deal for Soriano, according to a report.

The Angels were interested in Soriano before they signed first baseman Albert Pujols.

His power numbers have gone down but I think Seattle could take a shot at him. Deep prospect pool (not like he'd cost much anyway) and a DH spot open in a lefty-heavy lineup
