The Pittsburgh Penguins announced Sunday that Sidney Crosby will finally return to the lineup Monday when the Penguins host the Islanders at the CONSOL Energy Center.

Crosby has not played since Jan. 5 due to a concussion.

The Penguins captain, Stanley Cup champion and 2007 Hart Trophy winner was running away with the League scoring race at the time of his injury last season, having tallied 32 goals and 34 assists in 41 games.

This season the Penguins are tied with Philadelphia for the most points in the Eastern Conference.

Wow seems like forever since he's played. Great news for the Pens.

It will be interesting to see how long it takes him to adapt to game conditions. He's been practicing but you can't really simulate game action.

Great news I really hope the dudes 100% ready. Would love to see him play with James Neal.

James Neal has been going off. I wonder if they'll put him on Crosby's line to give him a little boost...

The Pens are already playing so dominant this year. Just imagine them with the addition of Crosby.

Pens did this right, concussions have ended stars' careers in the past with the likes of Lindros, Richter, and Lafontaine. The Pens, let alone the league, couldn't afford the loss of their superstar. Hopefully he got the rest he needed, and his symptoms are finally gone.

I'll definitely be tuning into this tomorrow.
