These are my first cuts that I have done.

are you using the eraser tool to do these? because there's bg in the corners and very rough edges. try using the pen tool or polygonal lasso to do cuts. they provide a lot smoother and cleaner finish

I'll try that and replace the above images with those then. Thanks for the advice.
