The only downfall of going to the playoffs this season is that Lovie won't get fired...

Bill Cowher is really interested in the Giants and I think he would be our coach if we dont make the playoffs this year.

I don't view Dallas as an option.

As mentioned, Cowher won't have much control in Dallas which he won't appreciate very well, and I think there's a good chance they stick with Jason Garrett as the head coach.

I think Cleveland is an interesting option, considering a young promising QB in McCoy and an emerging power-running back named Peyton Hillis... which reminds me a bit of how Jerome Bettis ran the ball.

I want to see my Giants make the playoffs, but I know that if they don't there's a good chance he's fired and you know how much Cowher wants to coach in New York.

I think he would without a doubt accept a job here, the only thing stopping him would be lack of power in front office decisions, but he use to coach here before, familiar with the area and a good young team. But like I stated, firing Mangini would be a mistake. He has won over the players, they play tough for him, and he has actually been out coaching a lot of good coaches this year.

Carolina seems like an ideal fit since he does live there and he could get all the power he wants. Good ground attack in place, obviously the team needs a lot of work but he could get things in the right direction.

After this season, I think Jerry Jones is so committed to winning that he would keep his nose more out of personnel decisions, if that is what it takes. People think Cowher would stay away from Dallas b/c Jerry is too involved in personnel decisions...um hello...Bill Parcells! If Bill Parcells and Jerry Jones can co-exist then Jerry Jones & Cowher would be BFF's. Either way, I don't think Dallas is the likely destination for Cowher, nor did I imply that. Only reason why I mentioned Dallas in the same sentence as Cowher was to make a point of the more lucrative jobs available outside of Carolina.

Denver is the perfect destination for Cowher. Pat Bowlen gave his last 2 head coaches the full power of personnel decisions, the Broncos have a lot to work with, and they already have the personnel to run the same 3-4 scheme Bill ran in Pittsburgh. Denver's better teams were in a lot of ways built like the Steelers: top O-Line, great running game, lock down defense. This has to appeal to Bill as does the fact that Denver is about a revamped defense away from being the AFC West favorite. I mean let's face it, they score a ton of points...they just can't stop anyone from scoring on them this season.

If not Denver, I pointed at Cowher for the Texans at the end of last season. Another team that I feel needs a better coach and a few personnel adjustments in order to finally get over the hump.
