If the Bulls decide to take point guard Derrick Rose with the first pick in this month's NBA Draft, they could target Indiana's Jermaine O'Neal to fulfill their post void, according to The Chicago Sun-Times.

However, it's possible that the Pacers would like to avoid trading the former all-star within the central division. He has two years and $44 million remaining on his current contract.

Chicago has the pieces to make a deal. A proposal built around forward Tyrus Thomas, one of the Bulls' excess guards (Larry Hughes, Kirk Hinrich, or Ben Gordon) and a future draft pick meets the salary-cap requirements.

The bulls should just stick with the draft pick. Look what happened with Elton Brand, I dont want a repeat of that this year.

I agree with this comment, especially with 2 so called "sure things" available

I think what the Bulls should do is trade Hinrich for the Heat's pick and take Beasley and Rose 1st and 2nd.

Rose
Gordon/Hughes
Deng/Nocioni
Beasley/Thomas/Gooden
Noah/Gray

Awesome!

lol why would the Heat ever do that? It'd take more than just Hinrich...

Well they could give up Gooden, Thomas, or any of their excess players as well.

I'm not sure if they're going to resign Chris Duhon though.

I've also been tossing around the Hinrich trade for Beasley, but yeah, they're going to want another player other than him. I don't think the numbers would work but I really wouldn't even mind if we threw Deng in there. I love Deng but I just don't think he's going to be this all-star player everyone thought he was and we need a young scorer. This would help both teams....a lot, and Riley really likes Kirk so yeah....everyone wins. I don't see the Heat holding onto Marion either, he will be trade bait for the rest of his career.

If we can't get Beasley or J. O'Neal (who I don't want at all), we should just hold out for Wade in 2 years.

Bulls Starting Five:
Noah - C
Gooden - PF
Beasley - SF
Hughes - SG
Rose - PG

Heat Starting Five:
Mourning/Blount - C
Marion - PF
Deng - SF
Wade - SG
Hinrich - PG

They aren't trading the pick for J.O. >_> It's a seperate trade.

I'm only happy with Paxson drafting Rose if we get a low post scorer.
