Beyond heartbreaking. I'm not a Jays fan but I always respected Halladay and his image around the city. Class act guy.

Hopefully he gets voted into the HOF. One of the best pitchers I grew up watching.

From when I started watching baseball in 03 to now, he was one of the five best pitchers during that span

Real class guy definitely my favourite pitcher growing up from when I first started watching in 05... Horrible news. RIP Doc.

What a pleasure it was to watch this guy growing up. So tragic. 40 is way too young to go, especially when he recently retired and had the rest of his life to live.

No doubt HOF player, and I bet Toronto and Philly both retire his number this upcoming season.

Feel awful for his family. RIP Doc

Doc was a class act all the way.  His life was entirely too short.  What a tragic way to end it.
Rest in Peace, Doc.  Condolences to family and friends.
