MLB Trade Rumors:

There are still rumblings about a third team, according to Jon Heyman of SI.com (on Twitter). The mystery team's offer appears to be significantly lower than the Yankees' proposal, but it's from a place Lee "loves."

Boston offered a much lower deal than NYY, but there seems to be no place more desireable than Boston at the moment.

I refuse to give up on the Lee-Red Sox until he signs elsewhere

It's not Boston and if anything thinks Lee ends up in Boston, they need their head examined.

Cliff Lee did love Philadelphia and I wouldn't put it past Ruben Amaro to sneak into this. Not sure what the Phils' have to offer but who knows?

I just know that it won't be Texas for Cliff Lee. Even the Rangers are shifting their focus to Beltre, they know Cliff's a longshot.

Phillies are becoming the Yankees of the National League. A taste of the World Championship and now they're hellbent on doing whatever it takes to do it again & again.

difference is they have a budget to stick to.

Yankees fortunately have the flexibility to go way over their intended budget.
